The last thing you want to do, is to keep stale fuel in your petrol tank over winter. Ethanol in your fuel absorbs moisture, which causes fuel to go stale. More modern fuels (E10) have a higher ethanol content, exaggerating this issue. Therefore, before storing your ride-on mower for the winter, ensure you drain or run dry your fuel tank. When it is time to start cutting once again, treat your mower with some fresh fuel and help keep your carburettor clean.
